The Benjamin Bunny Room is an exciting place to be, with a wide variety of activities and sensory experiences for the children to choose from. Our team of experienced, nurturing staff support the toddlers in becoming explorers and adventurers both indoors and out from making soup in the mud kitchen to building sand castles in the large sand pit to playing with water and hose pipe – a firm favourite. With dedicated areas for role play, construction, music, mark making, table top activities, art and crafts or relaxing in the book corner with a favourite story there is never a dull moment!
Our fantastic sensory room located next to the nursery garden is fully equipped with a coloured bubble, wind machine, sound system and fibre optics to name but a few and provides a perfect quiet place for children to relax and explore with their friends.
Each child has a daily diary and is appointed a keyworker who records how much each child has eaten, nappy changes/toileting and sleeps. This provides a brilliant way of keeping parents up to date with their child’s individual care as well as activities they have particularly enjoyed.
We carry out a 2 year check just after a child has reached their second birthday. This provides a formal written summary about how children are reaching their milestones in the prime areas of development – Personal Social and Emotional, Physical and Language and Communication.
